William "Bill" Lee Rich

Bill is survived by his children: Sherry Bennett (Billy), Charlene Patterson, and Jon Rich (Kim). Also his grandchildren: Kim Boyd (Bobby), Will Bennett, Zach Bennett (Melody), Whit Patterson, Wes Rich (Molly), and Lauren May (PJ). His great grandchildren are: Devin Zinn, Dalton Boyd, Oliver Bennett, Millie Bennett, Gunner Rich, Grady Rich, Raelyn Doss, and Carter May.

He is also survived by his sister, Carol Rich Taylor and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by Johnnie Carter Rich, his wife of 70 years; a daughter Lisa Eilene Rich; his parents Howard Archibald Rich and Lessie Bains Rich; his siblings Jane Rich Owen, Ronald Rich, Howard Rich, Jr.

A visitation for Bill will be held Wednesday, September 27 from at 10:30 am for the family. The family will be receiving friends afterward from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. A grave side service will take place at Forestlawn Gardens 730 Goldensprings Road, Anniston, AL 36207 at 1:30pm, where Bill will be laid to rest.

Those serving as pallbearers will include members of his family and friends. Born in Anniston, Bill was a lifelong resident of the area where he attended Anniston High School graduating in 1949. He worked for Alabama Pipe Company for 25 years, 7 years as Plant Manager. Later he worked for

Jefferson Foundry for 7 years as Plant Superintendent and retired in 1995. Gardening and plant propagation were among his hobbies along with fishing. Bill could repair almost anything and loved building and woodworking.
