away peacefully at her home on February 7th, 2024, with her family nearby. A memorial service
will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Talladega, Alabama ( date and time to
be announced )
Sue was preceded in death by her son Kyle, her mother, Fanny Elizabeth Walker, brothers
Charles Ashworth, James Ashworth and Buddy Ashworth , two nephews, Dana and Dale
Lamb.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Krista Dozier and her husband Robert, son
Charles Jarrell, granddaughters Madison McLaughlin and Charleigh Jarrell, grandson Kyle Jarrell
of Munford , Alabama, two sisters, Ann Lamb of Los Angeles, California, Edith Trammell (Paul) of
Wedowee, Alabama, and one brother Robert Ashworth of Anniston, as well as numerous nieces
and nephews.
Sue was a member of the first graduating class of Saks High School in 1962. She was a
registered dietician and worked for several school systems over 25 years including Anniston
City Schools. Sue was a talented artist who designed and painted signs for numerous
businesses and created beautiful portraits before her vision failed. She loved Jehovah God and
dedicated her life to him at the age of nineteen, and served 70 years as a witness for him.
