Scarlett Faye Dempsey

Funeral services for Scarlett Faye Craft Dempsey, 71, of Oxford, will be 1:00 pm, Monday, February 20, 2012 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Todd Borders officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Ms. Dempsey died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at her residence.

Survivors include her children, Kimberly Thomas and Mark Dempsey; grandchildren, Heather McLean, Danielle Porter, Krystan Gillett, Logan Dempsey, Nathan Thomas, Olivia Achille; great-grandchildren, Rylen Gillett, Zoie Gillett, Brynlee Porter and Kaylee McLean; brother, Harold Craft and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Dempsey is preceded in death by her parents, James William and Margaret Frances Craft; sisters, Geraldine Morrison and Ruby Bobo; brother, Gerald “Bud” Craft; nephew, Ricky Bobo and great-niece, Sheri Finch.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Morrison, Gerald Morrison, Denny Bobo, Danny Bobo, Joey Webber, Scotty Craft, Terry Bobo and Kenny Bobo.

Ms. Dempsey was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She loved being a mother and grandmother and will be truly missed. The family would like to thank Alacare Home Health and Hospice and Dr. Charlie Lattuada, Jr. and Dr. Igor Bidikov for the care given to our mother.
