Sadie J. Burgess

ANNISTON – Funeral service for Mrs. Sadie J. Burgess, age, 87, will be 2:30 p.m., today, December 28, 2011, at Saks Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Harper and Rev. Eugene Burgess officiating. Interment will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 noon 2:00 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Burgess passed away Sunday December 25, 2011 at her residence.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda (Steve) Jacobs; brother-in-law, George Montgomery; one grandchild, Lindsey (Zach) Kilgore; one great grandchild, Sloan Kilgore and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Charles Goode, Wayne Norris, Mike Howard, Dennis Montgomery, John Reynolds, George Walker and Tommy Munroe

Mrs. Burgess was a native of Calhoun County and a lifelong member of Saks Baptist Church for 54 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Burgess; parents, Lillie Naugher and Will Jones; sisters, Fannie Lou Goode, Lizzie Goode, Mary Jones, Ruby Norris and Margaret Montgomery; brothers, Horace Jones and Casey Jones
