He is survived by his sister Deborah B. Sanderson, nephews Shane Sanderson and Shannon Sanderson (Tricia), niece Paige Mangham, great-nieces Savanna Sanderson, Bailey McCormick, Abby Bussey and Saylor Sanderson, great-nephews Caleb Sanderson and Austin Sanderson, great-great-nephews Greyson and Miles Whisenant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William A. “Billy” Brooks, Jr. and Marthalene F. Brooks, sister Dianne B. Mangham and brother-in-law Howard Sanderson.
Graveside services for Ronnie will be Sunday, July 16, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 16, 2023 starting at 1:00 PM at Gray Brown Service Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Shane Sanderson, Shannon Sanderson, Caleb Sanderson, Austin Sanderson, Marty Mangham, Terry Smith and Alex Campbell.
Ronnie was a graduate of Alexandria High School and retired from Winn-Dixie after many years of service. He was a resident at the Oxford House for the last several years. He was also a veteran of the Navy, of the Baptist faith and enjoyed sitting with his sisters dogs.
We would like to send a special thank you to the residents of the Oxford House who loved him so much and to Enhabit Hospice for the excellent care he received the last few weeks. The care he was given from RMC staff was exceptional. We will miss his familiar laugh, his love of life and know he is in a much better place free from any pain and reunited with his loves ones who have gone on before.
