Robert Wayne Lee

August 26, 1950 – August 16, 2021

Funeral Service for Mr. Robert Wayne Lee, of Oxford, will be held at 3:00p.m. on Thursday, August 19th at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Bro Garry Burns will officiating.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Mr. Lee passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2021 at home.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Theressa Jane Lee; brother, Al (Connie) Lee; daughters, Kelli Dover, Staci (Jeromy) Hill, Dawn (Dennis) Holcomb, Rebecca (Blake) Bickerstaff; and grandchildren Lauren Ingram, Skyla Dover, Sadie Echols, Cain Dover, Logan Dulin, Madison Shorter, Kennedy Holcomb, Lukas Holcomb, Brylan Bickerstaff, Marley Bickerstaff, and Brewer Bickerstaff.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Bob” Lee and Mary Jean Heany, step-father Don Heany, and brothers Tim and David Lee.

A Weaver native, Wayne was a proud Vietnam Veteran and an avid gun and knife collector. Wayne served his country as a U.S. Marine and also as a Green Beret in the U.S. Army Special Forces.
