Ray Nelson

A visitation for Ray will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory, 1329 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, Alabama 36201, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM with Mike Reaves officiating. Burial will follow at Coldwater Baptist Cemetery.

Ray is survived by his daughter Judy Bussey (Wayne); and his son Marvin Nelson (Janet); his grandchildren Jason Bussey (Tina), Amber Baty (Adam), Jacob Nelson, his great grandchildren John Bussey, Kylee Bussey, Thomas Bussey, Joanna Baty and William Baty and Several Nieces and Nephews.

Ray is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Nelson, his parents James and Ruthie Nelson and his grandson John Bussey.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Nelson, Jason Bussey, John Nelson, Ricky Noel, Ben Surrency and Sanford Reaves.

Ray was a very kind and generous person who would help anyone. He enjoyed refurbishing different things, fishing and traveling. He loved any and all football. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family dearly, and he will be greatly missed.
