He was born Sept. 13, 1956, in West End Baptist Hospital, attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and graduated from John Carroll Catholic High School in 1974. He was a member of the school’s only state championship football team which completed an undefeated 1973 season culminating in the state championship.
He had a highly successful career in sales in the tool and die and precision instruments industry including being National Sales Manager for the U.S. and Canada for Kennametal Inc.
In his spare time, he loved Alabama football, NASCAR racing, Bacardi and water with a splash of diet in a short glass, Carlile’s Barbecue sandwich with rib sauce, Milos Hamburgers and Salem Lights. Perhaps his greatest joy was cooking and sharing culinary experiences with his wife, Debby.
He requested no services be held. In lieu of flowers the family requests you raise a glass of your choice to Pat and give him a big “Roll Tide.”
