Michael Renzie Mitchell

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Mitchell, 73, of Lincoln, will be, Wednesday, July 31st, 2024, 2:00 p.m., at Patton Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Allen Layton officiating. Burial will follow in the adjacent cemetery. The family would like to welcome friends at 12:30 p.m. at the church. Mr. Mitchell passed away on July 28th, 2024.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Mitchell; sons, Greg Mitchell (Jenny), Brian Mitchell (Lynn), and Matthew Mitchell; sisters, Peggy Mitchell and Patsy Mitchell; brother, James Mitchell; grandchildren, Katelyn Johnson (James), Taylor Mitchell, Haleigh Mitchell (Zay), Emmaline Mitchell; great grandchildren, Hendrix, Amir, Brennan, Jolee, Jessie Sue, Avery, including numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Renzie and Ludie Mitchell; sister, Janice Fowler; brother, Ronnie Mitchell.

Those honoring as pallbearers will be Hunter Miller, Peyton Miller, Dawson Wingo, Alex Wingo, Brandan Whittington, and Tony Mitchell.

Michael loved spending time with his great grandkids and riding them around on his golf cart. He proudly retired from the Anniston Army Depot after 42 years and 2 months. He was also married to his loving wife Darlene for 53 beautiful years. Michael will be missed by all those who knew him and he is loved deeply by many.
