A private funeral service for Linda Landers Reaves, 71, Oxford will be 1:00 pm, Friday, May 8, 2020, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. Rob Turley, and Rev. Gary Stewart officiating. Private burial will follow at Oxford City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 - 1:00 pm. Gray Brown-Service Mortuary will be assisting at the visitation services for Mrs. Linda Reaves with meeting the 10 person gathering order. We welcome family and friends to attend visitation 10 individuals at a time inside our facility.
Mrs. Reaves went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 5, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Mackie J. Reaves; son, Michael Thomas Reaves (Chanda); grandchildren, MaKayla Carroll (Jacob), Kallie Camp, and M.J. Reaves; sister, Loretta McMichael; special niece Joy Posey and special great nephew, Michael Posey.
Mrs. Reaves is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Thomas J. and Anna Josphine Marguklas Landers; grandparents, Mrs. Eva Mae Vinson and Mr. George Marguklas; sisters Florine Webb, Eva Harris, niece, Tabitha Harris
Pallbearers will be Harold Moore, Bobby Turley, Perry Shirley, James Harrison, Scott Bailey and Cory Bailey. Honorary Pallbearer, Kevin Turley.
Mrs. Reaves graduated from Wellborn High School and went on to graduate at JSU University with a Master’s degree in teaching. Linda’s early ambitions were to be a teacher. Things that made her smile was her loving family and (grandchildren). She knew her greatest achievement was when she accepted Jesus Christ into her heart. Linda was loved by many family and friends and will be missed greatly.
