Kenneth "PawPaw" Greenwood

Kenneth Greenwood “Paw Paw”, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. He was born to Lawrence and Myrtle Greenwood on October 8, 1947 in Anniston, Alabama, where he remained a lifelong resident. He was a devoted husband and Paw Paw, and enjoyed fishing – especially with his grandchildren. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Paw Paw was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Barry Greenwood; and brother, Donald Greenwood.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Katherine; son, Michael Coile (Tracy); grandchildren, Logan Greenwood (Micole), Trey Coile (Victoria), Amanda Greenwood (Joel); and Adam and Jana Bishop; one great-grandchild, Axel Ray; brother-in-law, John Hicks (Marcia); nephew, Bucky Hicks (Tammy); nieces, Regina Tisdale and Paula Griffith; special family: Wayne and Nina Bishop, and Ken and Keri Bishop; as well as other cherished family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023 beginning at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. followed by a private family entombment at Maple Grove Cemetery. Reverend Ray Morris will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Michael Coile, Trey Coile, Logan Greenwood, Ken Bishop, Adam Bishop, John Hicks, Jr. “J.K.”, and Bucky Hicks.
