Junior Dale Wallace

Graveside service for Mr. Junior Dale Wallace, 88, of Ohatchee will be 3:30 pm, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Crook Cemetery with Chaplain David Jones officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 1-3 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.

Mr. Wallace is survived by his wife Scottye Bentley Wallace; children, Debra Wallace Loewy (David), Cynthia Dale Wallace Southwell (John), Michael Steven Wallace, and Jason G. Howard (Christina); grandchildren, Matt Railey, Steve Railey, Elizabeth Riggs, Meredith McMillan,. Caroline Warren, Christine Garrett, Katie Dale Southwell, Allen McKenzie, Scott Mckenzie, Annabelle Hill, Kaylie Curvin, Jeremy Southwell, and Jonathan Howard; 13 great grandchildren.

Mr. Wallace is preceded in death by his daughters, Cherie Wallace Warren, Tyla H. McKenzie, parents and several brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Railey, Steve Railey, Allen McKenzie, Scott McKenzie, Denny Bentley, Carl Wilson and Tim Bentley.

Mr. Wallace was the Assistant Director of Quality Assurance at Anniston Army Depot. He was the president of the state of Alabama NARFE and was the past president of NARFE Chapter #1511. In 2007, he was presented the Floyd Clark award for excellence in NARFE Leadership. He was instrumental in having Crook Cemetery established in the Historical Registry Cemeteries.

Mr. Wallace served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force as part of the Strategic Air Command under Curtis LeMay. He was a member of Union Grove Methodist Church where he served as a deacon for many years.
