Services for Mrs. Judy K. Howard, 73, of the Alexandria community will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Anniston Alabama on Tuesday, 15 February 2022. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00. Services will begin at 2:00 and when concluded the family will accompany Mrs. Howard to the Mt. Zion cemetery. There will be no graveside service.
Mrs. Howard passed away Friday 11 February 2022. She was a 40 year owner operator of Judy’s Beauty Salon in Alexandria where she cut, washed, permed, colored, fluffed, dried and talked to hundreds of local residents and their families. She loved her work and was proud to provide for the community. She often took no payment for services when people had hard times and never complained.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church as were her parents, Roy T. Kelley and Frances H. Kelley, and son Kevin Woodard. She enjoyed country music, good food and good conversation.
Mrs. Howard is survived by her husband Larry L. Howard, her son Kevin Woodard, her grandchildren Emily and Jacob Woodard.
She is preceded in death by her parents Roy T. Kelley, Frances H. Kelley and her brother Gerald Kelley. She was an exceptional wife, mother and friend. She will be missed.
