John David Hamm

Funeral service for John David Hamm, 81 of Ohatchee will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Bro. Daniel McGatha and Rev. Allen Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home

Mr. Hamm passed away February 11, 2017 at UAB Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lyndel Hamm; children, Tammy Hamm Finley (Chris), Tony Hamm and Alexis Hamm; grandsons, Donavan Marsh and Ryan Finley; his siblings, Shirley Goode (Sam), Otha Hamm (Joy), Donald Hamm (Anita), Debbie Bell Kitchins (Bud), Kenny Bell (Lori) and Gary Bell; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Houston Leo Hamm; mother, Evie Mae Hamm Bell; and sister, Dorothy Mae Hamm.

Pallbearers will be Donavan Marsh, Ryan Finley, Shane Hamm, Blake Hamm, Toby Burt and Rodney “Taco” Cortez.

Mr. Hamm retired from M & H Valve and Lee Brass. He enjoyed bowling and square dancing.
