Visitation service for Henry Henderson, 71, of Talladega, AL will be Monday September 20 from 9:30 am until 10:15 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Pastor Rick Alldredge will be officiating. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 at Little John Cemetery in Jacksonville, AL.
Henry was born February 6, 1950 and passed away on September 8, 2021 at Citizens Hospital in Talladega AL.
Henry is survived by his wife, Deborah Henderson; daughters, Misty Measles, Alyssa and step-daughter, Brandi; sisters, Ginger Williams, Glenda Wright, Donna Rowland and Connie Vinson; brothers, Clifford Henderson and James Henderson; grandchildren, Rani Caruso, Bethanie Chandler, Cameron Chandler, Green Leigh, Izzy; great-grandchildren, Breelynn Chandler and Asher Chandler; numerus nieces and nephews.
Henry was preceded in death, by his parents, Henry L. and Laura Henderson, sisters, Margreat Williams, Willie Roland, Frances Gillis, Pauline Jeswald and Linda Gail Shelnutt.
Henry is a native of Anniston, AL. He went to Alexandria High School and Jacksonville State University. Henry taught school at Talladega Presbyterian School, and coached for over 20 years at North Side Boys Club. He also coached for Ohatchee Jr. High for a number of years. Henry was Assistant Commissioner for Coosa Valley Football System. He was an avid Auburn football fan.
