Funeral services for Harry Willard Cleghorn, 85, of Anniston, will be 1 pm Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Golden Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Roland Brown and Rev. Don Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 – 1 pm at the church. Mr. Cleghorn Passed away on Friday at RMC.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Sexton Cleghorn, daughter, Sherri Cleghorn Williams (Shaw), two sons, Harry Wayne Cleghorn (Carol) and Jeffrey Mark Cleghorn (Beth), sister, Marianne Venegoni, brother, Joseph D. Cleghorn, three grandchildren, Ryan Williams (Andi), Rory Williams (Margaret) and Brent Cleghorn, five great-grandchildren, Ryder Williams, River Williams, Anna Caroline Williams, Lyrik Cofield and Saylor Walton, numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cleghorn is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Acker Cleghorn, mother, Mary Thweatt Cleghorn, brothers, James A. Cleghorn, Robert E. Cleghorn and sister, Euylene C. Dobson.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Cleghorn, Kelly Cleghorn, John Venegoni, Paul Venegoni, Jimmy Cleghorn and Bob Cotney. Honorary pallbearers will be the Fisherman Sunday School Class and Carpenters for Christ.
Mr. Cleghorn was a native of Talladega County and a resident of Anniston for most of his life. He was a member of Golden Springs Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was the owner of Harry Cleghorn Heating & Air and retired from Anniston Army Depot. Mr. Cleghorn was a U.S. Army veteran.
