Glenda is survived by her daughter Amy Nichols; her sons Michael Herby Nichols; Kacy Nichols (Amy Janal); her God daughters Jada Stinson; and Shelby Poe; her sisters Jackie Hughes (Cleve), JoAnn Smith and her sister in law Pat Sullivan (Michael); her grandchildren Isabell Allen Nichols, Wyatt Nichols, Gabriel Nichols, Elijah Nichols and her God grandchild Adley Willis, and several nieces and nephews.
Glenda was preceded in death by her husband Ricky Martin; her parents Cecil and Willodean Stephenson; her brother Billy Stephenson.
A visitation for Glenda will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory, 1329 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, Alabama 36201, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Eulaton United Methodist Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Dustin Grubbs, Dylan Grubbs, Logan Grubbs, Matt Smith, Taylor Borders and Preston Freeman.
Glenda was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County for 70 years and in the blink of an eye she was gone, known to many as Glenda, she was also known as mother, MawMaw, sister, aunt and miss Glenda. She would tell you not to cry but to celebrate. She attended Walter Wellborn High School and was a cashier for many years at the Grubb Mart.
