Evelyn is survived by her son Don Conaway (Belinda); and her daughter Angie Burns (Bill); her sister Myrtice Holder; her grandchildren Matt Burns (Christine), Chris Burns, Callie Sanchez (Daniel), Charles Conaway (Briana) and her great grandchildren Katie, Sami, Maddie, Caroline, Micah, Olivia. And several nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years Charles Conaway; her parents Thomas and Pearl Sellers; her sisters Bertha Horton (Robert); Rilla Taylor (Alfred); her brothers John Sellers (Inez); Clarence Sellers (Josephine) and her brother-in-law Vernon Holder, her infant brother James Sellers.
A visitation for Evelyn will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. A funeral services will occur Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Golden Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Roland Brown and Rev. Tim Shultz officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers are Matt Burns, Chris Burns, Charles Conaway, Daniel Sanchez, Craig Belcher and Steve Davis.
Evelyn was a native of Randolph County and a resident of Calhoun County. During her life, Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Evelyn was a talented seamstress for many years and loved to garden. She was dedicated to Golden Springs Baptist Church as a charter member and leaves behind many friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Enhabit Hospice team which included Alyson, Bridgett, Fran and Visiting Angel Amber.
