Emma is survived by her nieces Susie Wood (Walter Ellswick), Cathy Thomas, Geraldine Taylor, Sharon Parker, Karen Hicks, and Michelle Forsyth and her partner Michael Milstead.
Emma was preceded in death by her husbands James Mundy and Keith Bell; her parents John and Lillie Thomas; her brothers Johnny Buchannan; Paul Buchannan and Billy Ray Thomas.
A visitation for Emma will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory, 1329 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, Alabama 36201, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mike Drummond Officiating. Burial will follow at Oxford Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers are Michael Milstead, Audie Ellswick, Doug Darrin, Eric Knighton, Richard Frye and Brandon Gaddy.
Emma was a native of Anniston but loved to travel. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Oxford. Emma retired from the Ramada Inn in Oxford where she was the housekeeping supervisor. She enjoyed working on puzzle and loved her dog Lucy. Emma enjoyed taking care of her family in their time of need, always there to help in any way she could. She was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed.
