Funeral service for Elsie Timmons, 79, of Anniston, will be 2 pm Monday, January 28, 2019 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. Milton Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12 – 2 pm at Gray Brown-Service. Mrs. Timmons passed away at RMC on Saturday, January 26, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Harris (Milton), sons, Allen Timmons (Nancy) and Gordon Timmons (Veronica), grandchildren, Sam Timmons (Kasey), Robert Timmons (Lisa), Chase Harris (Brittany), Cody Harris (Kaelee) and Emilie Timmons, great-grandchildren, Elsie Harris, Everett Timmons and Gabriel Harris, sister, Carolyn Whitley (Dale), numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Timmons is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry W. Timmons, Sisters, Betty Hall, Edna Pope, and Wynell Wade, brother, Otis Wade and niece, Jennifer Pope.
Pallbearers will be Sam Timmons, Robert Timmons, Chase Harris, Cody Harris, Steve Wade and Quincy Pope. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Fidelis Sunday School Class at Hill Crest Baptist Church.
Mrs. Timmons was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of Hill Crest Baptist Church. Mrs. Timmons was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
