Edwin A Cody

Funeral service for Edwin Arley Cody 91 of Anniston will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Forestlawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Forestlawn Mausoleum. Mr. Cody passed away Thursday at his residence.

Survivors include his daughter Cathy Keel (Darrell) of Anniston, sons William E. Cody (Connie S.) of Anniston, Ronald Cody (Ellen Marie) of Ohatchee, grandchildren Jay Cody, Daphne Cody, Scott Cody, Holly Chumley, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandson, sisters Ruby Cornelius (Doug) of Birmingham, Vera Mullinax of Anniston, brother John Leonard Cody (Sue) of Wellington and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Cody is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Mildred Freeman Cody, a sister Jean Cates of Sylacauga and a brother William Cody.

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.

Mr. Cody was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was also a WWII Veteran. He was a loving father and “PawPaw”, brother and friend. The family wishes to express special thanks to Alacare Hospice for the tender loving care of our father.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to Alacare Hospice.
