Graveside services for Dwayne O’Neal McDaniel, 80, will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery. Located at 730 Golden Springs Road, Anniston, AL 36207. The family will receive friends at Gray Brown Funeral Home one hour before the graveside service. Located at 1329 Wilmer Avenue, Anniston, AL 36201. Dr. Mack Amis will officiate.
Dwayne passed away at home on Saturday, January 16, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
He is preceded in death by his dad’s parents, Phil and Nina McDaniel, his mother’s parents, Willie H. Putnam and Ruthie Waits Putnam. His parents, S.T. McDaniel and Josephine Putnam McDaniel. His sister in law, Patricia Dew Schmidt.
Dwayne was a long-time resident of Anniston and was a graduate of Oxford High School, Class of 1959. He was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church and retired from the Anniston Army Depot in 1995, after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Tissie Dew McDaniel, his special cousin, Ruthie Putnam Protsman, his twin children, Tom and Sharon Muller, Steven and Kimberly McDaniel. His grandchildren, Lindsey McDaniel and Garrett McDaniel and several nieces and a nephew. His buddy cat, Patches.

Pallbearers will be Garrett McDaniel, Tom Muller, Victor Traylor, Wayne Jackson, Jerry Mullinax and Andy Stinson. Honorary pallbearers are Lamar Caldwell and Jerry Ray.

The family plans on having a gathering to celebrate Dwayne’s life at a later date when everyone can socialize safely without concerns of Covid exposure and restrictions.
