Memorial services for Dorothy S. Hamil of Anniston will be Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Parker Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Mac Amis and Dr. Billy Harris officiating. Mrs. Hamil passed away Tuesday in Anniston.
Survivors include her husband J. Floyd Hamil of Anniston, sons Jason Keith Hamil (Lori) of Dyersburg, Tenn., Anthony Kelvin Hamil (Natalie Brittain Hamil) of Spanish Fort, Al., grandchildren Weston Hamil, Ashton Hamil, sisters Betty Jean Hollingsworth of Anniston, Iva Russell of Oxford, brothers Harold Smith of Heflin, Harris Smith of Ohatchee and Richard Smith of Ohatchee, several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hamil is preceded in death by her parents Hoyt and Eva Smith and J.D. and Ressie M. Hamil.
Mrs. Hamil was a native and resident of Calhoun County. She was born in Ohatchee where she became Miss Ohatchee, then moved to Anniston and joined Parker Memorial Baptist Church. She was runner up to Miss Anniston winning Miss Congeniality. She taught Kindergarten at Parker Memorial, Reared three boys, two sons and her husband.
