Doris is survived by her daughter, Julie Young Brasher; son, Paul D. Young Jr. (Heather); granddaughter, Sherie C. Schaffer (Rob); grandsons, Drew Young and Joshua Young (Mycki); great-grandchildren, Morgan Schaffer, Kenzie Schaffer, Makayla Young, Whitney Jimmerson, Cylas Young, Sydney Young and Katie Layton, sister, Judy Martin.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Young Sr.; parents, Orbie and Clarence Kinzalow; brothers, Nathaniel Kinzalow, Carl Kinzalow and John Kinzalow ; sister, Betty Dowdy; granddaughter, Kelly Brasher.
Doris worked in payroll at Ft. McClellan before moving to Anniston Army Depot. She also ran a business with her husband. She met her husband of 62 years in high school in Piedmont where they moved to Saks after graduation.
She was a Christian and loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren spending time with then, as often as possible.
