Clyde is survived by his spouse, Claudine Beason; his daughter Pam Williams (Jay); and his son Travis Beason (Terri); his brother James Beason (Jane); his grandchildren Jeared Layton (Bethany), Misty Hunt (Jamison), Candy Brotherston (Bill), Brittany Pruitt (Andy), Sidney Cook (Adam) and his great grandchildren Ryan Brotherston, Stetson Pruitt, Ledger Pruitt, Lawson Cook, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Clyde was preceded in death by his first wife Betty Beason and his grandchild Mandy Beason.
Services for Clyde will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Rev. Sam Legon officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers are Lamar Maddox, Andy Pruitt, Adam Cook and Dewayne Torres.
Clyde was a native of Cleburne County and a resident of Calhoun County. He was a retired US Army veteran with National Defense Service Medal w/Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal (Fifth Award), Parachutist Badge, Army of Occupation Medal (Germany), Senior Parachutist Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal W/Device, 2 Overseas Bars and many other accomplishments. He coached in Saks Youth Activities and enjoyed gardening. He was an avid Alabama Football Fan, and loved his cat Rusty. He was a member of Silver Swinger Club Square Dancing. Clyde loved life and will be greatly missed.
