Funeral service for Christopher Wayne Cofer, 39, of Oxford, will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Gray Brown-Service Rev. Danny DuVall. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Cofer died Sunday morning April 3, 2011.
Survivors include father, Anthony Cofer Sr. and wife Rebecca; mother, Debbie Smith and husband Gary; brothers, Anthony Cofer Jr. and wife Kara, Donald Cofer, Colton Smith, and Joshua Colson; and nephews, Peyton and Dalton Cofer.
Mr. Cofer is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Helms; and grandparents, Herston and Katheleen Cofer.
Mr. Cofer was a 1990 graduate of Oxford High School he attended the University of Montevallo, Mississippi College School of Law, Southeastern Bible College and Dallas Theological Seminary. He worked as an attorney and was the founder, CEO and Lawyer of Cofer & Associates, P.A. He also was an Evangelist and Eschatology with Chris Cofer Ministries from 2007 until his death.
