Betty Jane Tankersley

A Celebration of Life for Betty Jane Tankersley on Anniston, AL will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Thursday January 4, 2024. Bro.Tim Jarmon and Bro Milton Harris will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10 am until 11 am with chapel service to follow. at 11 am. Burial will be at Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Betty went home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2024 at the age of 86.

Betty is survived by her two sons, Jeff (Dorinda) and Philip (Kristie); Granddaughter, Kimberly (Josh); Grandsons, Kevin (Michelle), Timothy, David (Cheyenne) and Daniel; Great Granddaughters, Kaylee and Melody; Brother, Woody (Rebecca) several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, David; Father, Zackie and Mother Nettie Carpenter.

Pallbearers will be her Grandsons Kevin Stone, Joshua Blackwell, Timothy Tankersley, David Tankersley, and Daniel Tankersley; her Nephews, Dennis Pontero and Zack Carpenter. Honorary Pallbearers are God's Grace Class from Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Betty lived in Anniston, Al and attended Anniston High School. She was a Bookkeeper and Treasurer for several years and a loving Housewife and Caregiver.

Betty was an active church member at Saks Baptist, Fellowship Baptist and Hillcrest Baptist Church. She will always be remembered for her love for Jesus and her passion for serving the Lord. She will be remembered as a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend.
