Funeral services for Barbara Gail Black Duke, 58, of Anniston will be 2 pm Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Dr. Sylvester Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Coldwater Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 - 2 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Duke passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at NHC.
Survivors include her sons Johnny (April) Duke and Charlie (Crystal) Duke, sister, Dorothy Dutton, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, three nieces, two nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
Mrs. Duke is preceded in death by her husband, Kimble Jackson Duke, father, Joseph Black, mother, Sarah Deason Smith, brother, Kenneth Black and sister, E. Jeanette Whitaker.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mrs. Duke was a native of Anniston. She was a graduate of Anniston High School. Mrs. Duke was a waitress and cook at Waffle House. Mrs. Duke was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed.
