Martha and Susie have been together for over 24 years, residing in Annapolis Maryland for the last 6 years with their beloved pets GreyD, and Curry. They spent countless weekends at their second home and happy place, Rehoboth Delaware where Susie and Martha shared many memories and great times with their friends.
Susie exemplified living with LOVE. She was the first to ask how she could help, incredibly generous with her time and money and the best cheerleader anyone could have. She loved recklessly, always willing to forgive and believe that people could change. These qualities were not reserved for those in her family or close friends, she was this open with anyone she met. If you were lucky to be in her inner circle those qualities were magnified, and you know that she would do anything in her power to help you in difficult times.
Susie began her career at Microsoft in 1999 joining as a Systems Engineer. Her innovative mindset and tireless work ethic quickly earned her recognition, leading to promotions and increasingly impactful roles within the company. With her exceptional leadership skills and an innate ability to foresee technological trends, Susie continued to rise through the ranks.
Throughout her time at Microsoft, Susie held several key positions, each contributing to the company's growth and success. From 2004 – 2008, she served as the Director of the Microsoft Reston Virginia Technology Center and then became the Chief Technology Officer of the Federal Civilian and Microsoft Federal Business. Most recently, she was the Chief Data Officer of the Federal Civilian Business Unit. Her dedication to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment left an enduring legacy, impacting not only Microsoft's products but also the careers of those she mentored.
Susie's dedication was not only recognized internally but also by the industry at large. Her relentless pursuit of excellence garnered her multiple awards, including the Fed100 Award in 2011 and FedScoop’s Top Women in Tech in 2017. These accolades are a testament to her unparalleled commitment to pushing the envelope of technological innovation and her lasting impact on the field. Susie was known for her warmth, kindness, and generosity. She was a beloved colleague, friend, and mentor to many, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer guidance. Her legacy of compassion and support will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
As accomplished as Susie was in her profession, her most profound accomplishments and titles were Wife, Sister, Friend, Aunt and Great Aunt (Great Sue). She did not just talk about Love she demonstrated how you live with LOVE.

Susie was predeceased by father Stuart Adams, mother Evelyn (Mo) Adams, brother-in-law Paul Heskett.

She is survived by wife Martha Heskett, sisters Wendy Wooster(Mike) and Ida Randall(Sid), Nieces Alli Montgomery, Payton Wooster, Jacque Gilliam and Gwen Stone (Sean). Nephews Zach Randall, Matt Randall, and Connor Wooster. Great nephew Parker Middleton, and Tripp Montgomery and great niece Maeve Stone.
