Robert E. Stacey

Robert E. Stacey, age 93 of Gambrills, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by family members on December 7, 2024. Robert was originally from Hampton Virginia where he met his beloved wife, Betty, of 66 years. Robert served as a medic for the Navy during the Koren War. After his years of service, he attended Virginia Tech and later North Carolina State University where he earned his PHD in Biochemistry.

Robert spent many years working in Biochemistry research and eventually retired from the Anne Arundel County Police Department as a Forensic Chemist. During retirement Robert fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning a small farm.

Robert is predeceased by his wife, Betty D. Stacey, his son David S. Stacey and his daughter Deborah Bargas-McCawley. He is survived by his daughters, Wanda L. Jackowski, Sharon S. Conrad and Lorie A. Still, 14 Grandchildren, 19 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great grandchild.

A gravesite funeral service will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 10 AM in Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032. In lieu of flowers memorial donations should be given to your local Volunteer Fire Department.
