Richard “Rich” Norman Boehm Jr., 64, of Annapolis, Maryland, passed away on October 23, 2023 with family by his side. He was born to parents Richard Boehm and Fredericka Boehm on April 01, 1959 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Rich grew up in Pittsburgh and moved to Bowie, MD, at 15 with his family. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1977. After high school, Rich worked for the United States Senate Printing Office, moved to the private sector, and then finished his career as a Senior Printing Services Specialist with the United States Government Publishing Office.
Rich enjoyed attending Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Steelers games with his two children, Richard and Aimee. Another passion was participating in rescue dog transport with his sister Marion and co-pilot/significant other Melissa. He was a very compassionate man who was involved in his community. As a member of the Knights of Columbus, he most enjoyed working with Special Olympics and the annual coat drive. Rich served as Grand Knight of the Sacred Heart Council from 2004 to 2005. He also loved to fish and golf.
Rich is survived by Stepfather Joel Eisler and Stepmother Sandy Eisler, significant other Melissa Ascione, son Richard N. Boehm III and wife Christie, daughter Aimee A. Boehm and significant other Richard Smith, and grandchildren Christian and Ariana. Rich is also survived by sister Marion Holland (late husband Billy Holland) and brothers David Boehm, his wife LouAnne, Eric Boehm and his wife Jessica. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the service located at St. John Neumann Church in Annapolis, MD on Thursday, December 7th at 10:30 a.m. with lite luncheon following immediately at the Knights of Columbus Hall located in Bowie, MD. Memorial donations can be made to M.A.M.A.S rescue transport.
