Michelle was born on October 7, 1969, to Patricia Ann and John Lafranchise, Sr. at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland. After Michelle graduated from Elizabeth Ann Seaton High School in 1987, she attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where she studied Architecture. After realizing Architecture was not for her, she found her passion in the financial industry where she rose to the position of Area Vice President in Merchant Services for a large banking firm.
On September 3, 1991, Michelle gave birth to her beloved daughter Amanda Marie Pope, who wants her to be remembered for her generous heart, her ever-loving and light-hearted spirit, her ability to brighten anyone’s day, and her beautiful smile. She liked to keep things light, primarily by making others laugh out loud.
Michelle is survived by Amanda and her son by marriage, Sean Pope, her parents, 10 nieces and nephews, and her 8 siblings: John, Jr., Margaret Bramble, Jennifer Major, Michael Lafranchise, Matthew Lafranchise, Katherine Lafranchise, and twins Susan and Mark Lafranchise.
