Mary Davis Jewett, 81, of Annapolis, Maryland passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at her home after a long struggle with lung cancer.
Mary was born to Kenneth G. and Alma V. (Spriggs) Davis on May 16, 1936. She was a native of Annapolis, Maryland where she spent most of life.
Mary was preceded in death by Raymond C. Jewett, husband and Kenneth J. Smallman, son.
She is survived by her children: Ronald K. Smallman, John E. Smallman, Barbara J. Smallman and Susan A. Torney, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mary graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in 1953. After High School, she was a model and graced the cover of the " Log Splinter" Naval Academy Magazine. Later she served as teacher after earning her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Bowie State College. She loved the outdoors especially in the water, as she was an avid swimmer.
A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 11 AM, on Friday, March 9, 2018 at John M. Taylor Funeral Home 147 Duke of Gloucester St Annapolis, Maryland 21401. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cancer Research.
