Kimberly Mary Vatis

Kimberly is predeceased by her parents Mrs. & Mr. James McNelis.

Kimberly is survived by her loving husband William Ferris of 1.5 years. They were married in Baltimore, MD on November 17, 2012.

Kimberly is lovingly remembered by her son Alexander John Vatis of Hanover, MD, her Daughter Ashleigh Anne Abutboul & Son-in-law Elan Abutboul of Ellicott City, MD, Grandchildren: Aila and Eve Abutboul, Brothers: Kevin, Greg, & Brian McNelis, Sister: Lory Greene.

Kimberly was born in San Francisco, CA on December 29, 1953. She graduated from Colonia High School (NJ) in 1972 and went on to earn a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Education from Glassboro State College in 1976 and a Master’s Degree from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD. She worked as a teacher and Integrated Literacy Specialist for the Anne Arundel County Public School System.

Kimberly enjoyed traveling, scuba diving, tennis, and her greatest joy of being a mother and grandmother.

The visitation will be held at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, Inc., 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401on Sunday August 3, 2014 from 3 to 6 PM..

The funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 109 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401 on Monday August 4, 2014 at 10:30 AM.
