Kevin H. Delph, age 64, of Waldorf, MD passed away on February 2nd, 2023 after his battle with cancer at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD with family by his side. He was born on November 4th, 1958 in Albany, Georgia to the late Jerry Delph and the late Elizabeth A. McLaughlin. He is preceded in death by his son, Shayne M. Delph, stepfather, Frank McLaughlin, and brother, Sean McLaughlin. He is survived by his wife, Tiina K. Delph and his children: Lindsay and husband Jack Hindes, Kevin II and wife Courtney Delph, Sammy, Jerry, and Katie; two granddaughters: Rose Elizabeth Hindes and Ramona Delph; siblings: Jeff and wife Laura Delph, Richard and wife Betsy Delph, and Wendy and husband Dennis Morgan; and seven nieces and nephews: Michelle, Dennis, Courtney, Jenna, Richie, Justus, and William.
Kevin was a dedicated husband and father. He was a master auto mechanic, an analytical problem-solver who delighted in diagnosing and resolving any issue he encountered. His work was admired and respected by friends and the community he served for over 46 years. In his youth, he had a passion for building and racing speed boats. He loved sports and passionately supported his children in their athletic pursuits. Kevin had a lifelong love of progressive guitar music which he shared with his friends and family. He was a quiet man, but his few words resounded with wisdom and purpose. He had a contagious sense of humor and could put a smile on anyone's face. He was a stoic and loving man who lived for supporting and uplifting his friends and family. He will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends will gather for Kevin’s celebration of life on March 9th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at South Potomac Church, 4915 Crain Hwy, White Plains, MD 20695. A reception will be held following the memorial service at Port Tobacco Marina and Restaurant, 7536 Shirley Blvd, Port Tobacco, MD 20677 with food and refreshments to continue sharing the memories of Kevin’s life.
