My "Big Brother" John,

My mind remembers clearly when I was 4 years old and you were 17 as the two of us sat in the den of our childhood home in New Jersey watching Star Trek and eating Neapolitan ice cream.  You had stirred the ice cream into custard for me because I did not like "the strawberry kind".  You made it magically go away and I was in awe.  You facilitated my long lasting love for both ice cream and Star Trek.  I thank you for that!

My Friend John,

I will never forget our travels together.  The time we ate at Hooters and from then on any trip,  it was Hooters time.  We had some great fun on the road together.  Even after I was forced out of Barcoding we remained friends.  I am sad to say I did not visit you as much I should have but we did talk on the phone a lot.  You will be missed in my life and I am sure in the life on many others.
Until we meet again,  I know you will be enjoying your new life.

Grumpy Old Man, I surely will miss our early morning conversations  and the breakfast sandwiches you would always bring me over the past 13 years.  Crab cake lunches will never be the same without you sitting there telling a story or two some too big to be true lol.

I first met JD (aka John) when he was a technician and I was a sales person at Friden.   After leaving Friden, I went to work selling shipping software for TanData.  In the beginning, I serviced the customers but eventually the base grew enough to justify a dedicated service technician. When JD mentioned he would be glad to leave Friden, I recommended him for the position and he was hired.

My customers loved JD and not just because he was awesome at quickly solving their problems.  They truly liked him, his warm personality, his laugh and how he remembered personal things about them.  JD was a huge asset for my customers, TanData and me.

I left TanData after a few years but JD stayed on and eventually transitioned to CLS, the TanData seller for the area.  I stayed in touch with JD for a number of years as my company paid John for his weekend assistance with our shipping software.  After that, we talked a few times on the phone over the years but did lose touch.

I am sorry for the loss of JD to his family, friends and co-workers.  He will be missed.

It was my pleasure to have known and worked with you. Your smile and attitude is what I will always remember.  I just wish we got more time to see our plans through and spend the day at the Drag-strip.

Rest in peace, John <3 I will always remember our wonderful lunches together! Thank you for bringing me my first White Castle burgers and for sharing fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and watermelon in the summer. I'm especially grateful for our trip to Wisconsin to see the Barcoding race car and a stop at the Mars Cheese Castle! Lots of love to your family and friends as they mourn your loss. We will miss you so much <3
