Dr. Alexander was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on August fourth, 1929. He held a B.S. degree from Columbia University, an M. S. from Johns Hopkins, and a PhD. from UMBC. After retirement from the Air Force, he taught Computer Science at Towson for 26 years.
He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Sara Alexander of Crownsville, Maryland; two daughters, Karen Riemer of Smyrna, North Carolina and Alicia Alexander of Ithaca, New York; a stepson, Michael Dolan, of Washington, D.C., and a stepdaughter, Kerry Dolan of Nashua, New Hampshire. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Ian Armiger, Beatina Theopold, Jessica Theopold, Clark Riemer, and Ruby Dolan McQuie; and a great grandson, Duncan Alexander Riemer.
Friends are invited to visit at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, Maryland, on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Between 4 and 7. Burial at Arlington National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
