

On August 27, 2016 Janice “Jan” Easterday passed away after a short battle with lung cancer at the Hospice of the Chesapeake with her loving husband, Julian, by her side. Born in Dayton, Ohio on April 22, 1934, Jan was a military brat who traveled extensively in her childhood. She graduated from Annapolis High School in 1952, and worked at St. John’s College in Annapolis as a secretary to the Assistant Dean for 18 years. Jan’s hobbies included knitting, crocheting and needle point, for which she won many awards at the Anne Arundel County Fair. She was also known for her love of animals, especially her pet dogs. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Julian Easterday Jr., her son, Julian “Ralph” (Ruth) Easterday III, and her beloved grandson Tyler. Friends and family may call at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home Inc. 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401 on Thursday September 1, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Services will be held Friday September 2, 2016 in the Taylor Chapel at 11 AM. Entombment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
