Janet Lee Hile, a lifetime resident of Annapolis, passed away on April 6, 2018 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was the daughter of Violet and Clarence Terwilliger of Eastport and born on November 18, 1932.
After attending high school, Janet spent most of her life caring for others and raising her children. She also worked as a server at the Dutch Mill, Bella’s Restaurant and the Annapolis Waterfront Hilton and was loved by all she came in contact with. In later years, she became certified to work in a private nursing facility and cared for elder and Alzheimer patients for whom she thoroughly enjoyed until her retirement in 2005. Above all, Janet will always be remembered for her quick wit, strong spirit, remarkable strength and zest for life.
She is predeceased by her wonderful and loving husband of 38 years Dorsey L. Hile, Sr. Janet is survived by two sons C. David Howard (Ginger), Dorsey L. Hile, Jr. (Wendy); daughters Charlene Spivey (Bill Robison), Denise L. Cook and Sherri L. Hedges. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Stephanie Watson (Keith), Shawn Spivey (Lora), Bryan Howard (Ashley) and Heather Hedges (fiancé Chris Myers) and five great grandchildren, Ashleigh Watson, Lyla Watson, Bryan Spivey, Damon Spivey, and Knox Howard.
The family will receive friends for a memorial service on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Taylor Funeral Home in Annapolis. Immediately following, a celebration of her life will be held at the home of Stephanie and Keith Watson in Severna Park. Burial will be private.
