Frances was born on May 26, 1943 in Washington D.C. She was the second of five children of John and Jessie Clark. She grew up in Chevy Chase, Maryland. In her early adult years, she discovered a love for drag racing and adventure.
After she married her husband William DuPlayee in 1967, they eventually moved to Georgia for eight years before bringing the family to Annapolis, Maryland.
Highlights of her life include receiving a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from University of Baltimore, working for Child Support Services, traveling, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grand children. She was loyal to the Washington Football Team and the Baltimore Orioles.
Frances will be remembered for her fiery red hair and matching fiery personality. She fiercely protected the people she loved and the ideals she believed in.
She will be missed greatly. Frances is survived by her brothers, William (Linda), Gregory (Cecilia) and Stephen Clark, her children, Charley Gage (Trudy), Terri Hull (Bobby), Traci DuPlayee (James), and, ten grand children, seven great-grandchildren, her dog Sophie, and her cats, Chloe and Isabella. Preceded in death are Frances’ parents John and Jessie, her brother Robert, her late husband William “Bill” DuPlayee, her stepson Dennis, and many furry friends.
A visitation for Frances will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 10 am to 11 am at Eastport United Methodist Church (926 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, Maryland 21403).
A Funeral Service will be held in church at 11 AM.
