Born April 8, 1960, to Magdalene (Maggie) and Brian Flannery, Sr., Dennis grew up in the Sherwood Forest community of Annapolis, MD. He graduated Mount St. Joseph High School in 1978, where he played lacrosse. He then began a successful career in automotive after-market sales working with his father at Flannery & Associates.
Dennis coached little league and loved Maryland football and crabs. Plagued by addiction throughout his life, he found great comfort in religion and volunteering his time to help others struggling with similar issues. He was a friend to many and will be dearly missed.
Dennis is survived by his son, Shane Flannery (Natalie) of Fort Mill, SC; his daughter Kelli Puller (John) of Lutherville, MD; 4 dear grandchildren, Colton, Ryleigh, Nolan, and Remi; his beloved mother, Magdalene Flannery of Crownsville, MD; his father, Brian Flannery, Sr. (Dana) of Punta Gorda, FL; his siblings, Brian Flannery Jr. of Annapolis, MD; Erin Helfrich (Mike) of Annapolis, MD; and Shaun Flannery (Connie) of Port Charlotte, FL; his uncles Joseph Curran of Ellicott City, MD and Peter Haspert (Joyce) of Baltimore, MD; his cousin Megan Curran-Rodgeville (Scott) of Ellicott City, MD; and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
