David Michael Crandall Jr.

David Michael Crandall Jr, 60, of Saint Michaels, Maryland, passed away on January 31, 2024. Born on January 22, 1964, in Providence, Rhode Island. Dave was a charismatic and outgoing individual who was loved by all who knew him. He was known for his intelligence, dependability, hardworking nature, and loyalty. Dave’s fun-loving and witty personality made him the life of any gathering.

Family was of utmost importance to Dave. He was formerly married to Jessica Crandall, the mother of his children, Ellen, Sean, and Ian Crandall, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with their father. Dave is also survived by his sisters, Anne (Crandall) Simpson, and Jane (Crandall) Altieri and her husband Fred Altieri. As well as his nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Ann (Berthiaume) Lyon, his father, David Michael Crandall Sr, and his sister, Ellen Crandall.

In his professional life, David had a successful career in the hospitality industry. He served as the Regional Director of Engineering for Hersha Hospitality and also held the position of Chief Engineer at the Marriot Hotel in Mystic, Connecticut. His expertise and dedication made him a valuable asset to both organizations.

Outside of work, Dave had a wide range of interests and hobbies. He enjoyed hiking, camping, motorcycle riding, sailing, and photography, which allowed him to capture the beauty of nature. David was also passionate about art and music, finding joy in these creative outlets. Additionally, he served as a Boy Scout Leader, guiding and mentoring young boys and making a positive impact on their lives.

David Michael Crandall Jr will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy of hard work, loyalty, and love will continue to inspire and impact the lives of those he touched.

On February 12, 2024, there will be a 10:30 AM Mass at Our Lady of Grace Church, 4 Lafayette St #2712, Johnston, RI 02919 followed by a meet and greet at the church.
