Carmen Bautista Dizon, age 91, of Annapolis, Maryland passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022. Carmen was born June 8, 1931. She was the beloved wife of the late Federico Tagulao Dizon; devoted mother of Raymar Dizon and his wife Kelly and Delbert Dizon; and dear grandmother of Carley and Lane Dizon. She is also survived by sisters Salvacion Aquino, Teresita Cajita, and Elisa Saradpon and is predeceased by brother Eduardo Bautista and sister Purificacion Rodrigo.
She graduated with a B.A. degree from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. She was an English teacher before coming to the United States in the late 1950’s. She worked in multiple accounting-related positions over the next 35 years.
She enjoyed crocheting, doing crossword puzzles in her spare time and going on trips to Ocean City and North Carolina with friends and relatives. She especially loved spending time with her granddaughters, singing with them and cooking them Filipino food, and she always looked forward to attending their dance recitals and school events.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Carmen will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM in Saint Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church, 701 College Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21409. Interment will take place on Monday, January 30, 2023 9 am in Arlington National Cemetery.
