Zach was a friendly, happy person who loved animals, cooking, playing cards, fishing, playing Ultimate Frisbee, camping, hiking, walking in the park and being outside. Sadly, Zach’s struggles with his mental illness often kept him from enjoying time with his family and friends.
Zach is survived by his mother Glenda Gordon, his father Glenn Kime, his brother Alex Kime, his stepmother Laura Bauman, his stepsister Elena Bauman, his grandmother Esther Gordon, his grandfather Marvin Kime and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Zachary was preceded in death by his grandfather Charles Gordon and his grandmother Carema “Carrie” Kime.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Zach’s life is being planned for June 4, 2022 at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Ann Arbor. The service will be from 1:00 to 1:30 pm followed by an open house from 1:30 until 4:00 pm. If you wish, in memory of Zach, please consider a donation to The National Association of Mental Illness: NAMI of Washtenaw County, 1100 North Main Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48104, 734-994-6611, www.namiwc.org or the Humane Society of Huron Valley, 3100 Cherry Hill Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, 734-662-4365, HSHV.org.
