Shirley Mears, age 70, passed in the morning hours of December 30th, 2022, at St. Joseph Hospital of complications due to COVID. She was born on November 10th, 1952. Shirley Mears spent much of her life as a homemaker and retired from McDonalds. She’s lived in many different places over the years but found herself back in Belleville in the last few years before her passing. She was the second youngest of seven children and raised three amazing boys. She is preceded in death by: her husband, James; her parents, Hoyt and Mary; and her siblings, Dwayne, Glenda, and Betty. She is survived by: her siblings, Kim, Bill (Betty), and Carol; her children, David (Billie), Jim (Angela), and Esten (Cassie); her grandchildren, Chris (Rachelle), Collin, Hunter, Cole, Gage, Kayden, and Nathan; her great-grandchildren, Cole and Lilly; and other extended family.
