Shirley Virginia Brown

Born March 25, 1932 in Detroit, she was the daughter of George C. and Alice (Mittlemore) Brown. They preceded her in death. She was a 1950 graduate of Fordson High School. Shirley was a history buff and an encyclopedia of knowledge regarding old movies of the silver screen.

Her faith was important to her, she was a member of Ann Arbor Hope Church of the Nazarene, where she served on the board, helped clean the church, helped with Panera for donation and was church librarian up until the last couple of months prior to her passing. She helped people whenever she could and loved to talk to them about her savior Jesus. She loved to laugh. She will be truly missed.

Shirley worked in offices and with office machines in many positions, Bell Telephone, import and export companies as well as air freight.

A memorial service will be held on February 21 from 11-1 at the Ann Arbor Hope Church of the Nazarene on Packard Rd. In lieu of flowers please send contributions to the missions fund of her church.
