Funny that I got this notice today, that there had been a new entry in the guest book for Peter. We were just talking about him last night to friends, a fun story about Cary Grant. I hope his family is doing well. Our thoughts and prayers are still with you. And I hope it is some comfort to know that people that were little more than acquaintances Still mourn the loss of Peter as well.

Still missing Pete one year on.  There are often reminders of him at work, and he is often in my thoughts.  Continued best wishes to Sue, Andrew, and Katie.

There are some truly sad moments in life and one of them was last night when we out of pure coincidence (or was it?) found out that our dear friend Pete had left us. To understand our relationship, one has to go back more than 20 years in time when a young Swedish couple, software engineers to their profession had just joined BT Systems Inc. in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Some months into their assignment an announcement was made that a “software guru” named Peter Clark would join forces with the company. It turned out that the man in question was more than a guru; he could literally speak to computers. What Pete taught us in our professional life cannot be measured. For one of us, his inspiration even decided the continued career path.
Still, it is the other Pete, the two of us will remember most. The highly intellectual yet fun-loving musical man who got us acquainted with David Bromberg Band, Arlo Guthrie, Pete Seeger and the Vaughan Brothers. We still have the CDs we got from Pete and play them ever so often.
Sue, it is with great sadness we receive the news about Pete’s passing away. We have this wonderful picture of the two of you from the last time we met. Almost 15 years have passed but it still feels like today.
Andrew and Katie, you cannot possibly remember us but you should know that your father will be missed and remembered for times to come, and that in Sweden, a small country across the world from you.

I am so sorry to hear this shocking news. I enjoyed working with Peter while I was at Webb. He was very smart and kind. Every time I brought my daughter to the ann arbor computer picnic he and Kathryn would make baloons for her. As I moved to Boulder Ridge, he offered me couple of times ride back home. He will be missed and will be in our prayers.

Dear Mr. Clark,

I've always look up to and admired you.  We spent a lot of time together in troop 5 and I always thought of you as a mentor.  When I would tell friends about you, I would always say that you were the coolest person I knew over the age of 30.  You had a great sense of humor and you were always a joy to be around.  When I think of the fun times I spent with you I think of a week spent on a sail boat in the Florida Keys.  I think of climbing Grand Ledge, and frequent trips to El Azteco.  I think of a 50 mile bike ride through Northern Michigan. I think of playing croquette through a campsite.

I remember a conversation we had that week on a sailboat coming back from Key West.  You told me that you saw so much potential in me.  I don't think you'll ever know how much that meant to me.  I was an awkward teenager, and you told me that you believed in me at a time when I didn't believe in myself.  The things I admired most about you were your compassion, your intelligence and your patience.  I truly believe that I am the person I am today because of you, and I am so thankful for all the time I spent with you and your son.

You are great man.  One of the greatest I have ever known.  And you will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry that I could not be there in person to offer support. Mr. Clark was a great man and were it not for him I would never have achieved so much during my time with the Boy Scouts. Because of him I can proudly say that I am an Eagle Scout. I will always remember that ridiculous 50 mile bike ride that he made us suffer through in order to get the cycling merit badge. We all struggled so much but he just powered through our cries of dismay. Boy did he like bikes, and those outrageous pants that went along with them. Hopefully they have plenty of bike paths where he is now... and no dress code. Hope that memory brought a smile in this trying time. Martin Hueter

So sorry for your loss.  I have many fond memories of riding DALMAC with Pete.  He made the evenings after a long ride very interesting and enjoyable!

Sorry for your loss. Peter was a good friend to bicycle with on Dalmac.  He was especially entertaining during our afternoon and evening relaxation times with the Westphalia Wheels group. All of us from Westphalia Wheels will miss his company deeply.

I remember when he first started at AAC -- a breath of fresh air, exuberance, determination, and  strong desire to make our projects work better.  He helped make the company a better place and will be much missed.

I worked with him for several years and he was a kind and fun person to work with. Also worked with Andrew one (?) summer. A fine young man, you could see Peter's pride and love for him!

I was very sad to learn of Pete's passing. I spent many enjoyable hours working with Pete while I was at Webb - I especially enjoyed our chats on random issues in his office back in Ann Arbor. Pete was one of the smartest and most interesting men I have ever known. He was also very kind and his love for his family always came through. Peter was my friend and pretty much part of our family.  He was one of my biking buddies, Mary's walking partner, and a vast store of information on all topics, as well as a technology buff extraordinaire.  But he first and foremost was a loving husband to Sue and a father to Andrew and Katie, and a brother to Gerald and Mary.  Words cannot express the pain and sorrow we feel for the loss of Peter from your lives.  Peter was a good man, kind to everyone and a hero with how he handled himself right up to the end.
