Nancy was born in Madison, Wisconsin, to Judith and Keith Lieding, MD. Nancy spent over 40 years as a flight attendant for American Airlines, happily exploring locations around the world.
Predeceased by her parents and brother Michael, Nancy is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 36 years, James A. Hill; son Nicholas J. Sager, daughter-in-law Samantha, and grandchildren Lucas, Alexandra, and Nicholas; daughter Lauren Zingaro, son-in-law Michael, and grandchildren Michael and Zoey; sister Amy Turner; nieces Sarah and Emily Turner; and brother Glenn. She also leaves behind many loving friends.
Nancy was a devoted church-goer who set aside time every day specifically to count her blessings, and she never hesitated to share her warmth with others. She loved rooting for the New York Yankees, traveling, playing the piano, doing jigsaw puzzles, household pets and wild birds, and, most of all, spending time with family and friends. In the words of Richard Wilbur, she passed away with “Such grace and courage as permit no tears / The thin hand reaching out, the last word love.”
