Mary G Malacos

Mary Athans Malacos passed away December 21, 2011 in Saginaw Michigan. She was proceeded in death by her parents Kostula and George Athans and her husband, Gus Malacos. She is survived by her sons George Malacos and his wife Maureen of Centerville, Ohio and John Malacos and his wife Lucy of Saginaw Michigan. Grandchildren Matthew (Dawn) Malacos and Amy (John) Marshall of Centerville, OH, Jacob Malacos of Los Angeles,CA; Charles Malacos ( Kellie) and Janice Kato (Kevin) of Saginaw, Mich. Grand Children; Michael, Marc, and Bentley Malacos of Centerville, OH, Alexander Marshall of Centerville,OH; Charles and Jameson Malacos and Kosta Kato all of Saginaw, Mich. Mary is survived by her beloved sister Janet Maezes of Ann Arbor, Mich; her Niece Connie (Doug) Hayes of Los Angeles,CA.,her nephew Ted (Penny) Maezes of Ann Arbor, Mich. Grand Niece Stephanie (James) Jackson of Los Angeles, CA and Grand Nephews Nolan,Travis and Jason Maezes of Ann Arbor. Mary and her sister Janet owned the Tiara and Tiara Petite Salons for many years until her retirement. She was an avid card player who enjoyed playing bridge. Mary was born in Detroit, MI but lived most of her life in Ann Arbor. She was a member of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church participating in the Philoptochos Woman's organization. Mary had just turned 95 in October of this year.Visitation will take place at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 2-4 pm and 5-7 pm. Followed by a Trisagion Service at 7 pm. The funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, December 30, 2011 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. Arrangements under the direction of Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Ann Arbor, MI.
