Long time Ann Arbor resident Mary P. DuBois, 87, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2012 while under the care of St. Joseph Hospice Program. She was born October 7, 1925 to Ralph and Helen (Miller) DuBois and spent her life in Michigan; Pennsylvania; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Paris, France; and New York City.While in Rio de Janeiro, Mary studied painting with Roberto Marx. She attended Bryn Mawr, Class of 1947; and studied at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in the early 1950s. Mary had a love of art, architecture, textile design, the Sunday New York Times, fine food, good conversation with friends and family, travel, a Teddy Bear named Moaney, and everything French. She was preceded in death by her parents and good friend Margaret Baum. Mary is survived by cousins Molly DuBois Brining, Tiburon, CA; Charles DuBois, Oakton, VA; Judy Gordon Cardoza, Davis, CA; Jeff Gordon, Corona Del Mar, CA; Jacquie Gordon Lomax, Long Beach, CA; Patty Lawson Kreitmeyer, Westland, MI; Susan Myron, Hillsdale, MI; Michael Myron, Port Huron, MI; and Patrick Myron, Marquette, MI; longtime friends Erhard and Dr. Daria Rothe, Ann Arbor, MI; Stella Sullivan, Houston, TX; Sister Barbara Cervenka, O.P., Ann Arbor, MI; and caregiver Dorothy Dasine, Ypsilanti, MI. Memorial services for Mary P. DuBois will be Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at 11:00 am, at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 South Fourth Ave., Ann Arbor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to: The National Trust for Historic Preservation; the American Cancer Society; the Legacy Land Conservancy, Ann Arbor; or the St. Joseph Hospice Program.
